Outdoor Wedding Tips

Outdoor wedding are romantic and beautiful but it comes with possible pitfalls and caveats that may take away the beauty and the excitement out of it. Outdoor atmosphere creates its own ornamental surroundings. To make it more attractive you may need to include chair decorations, topiaries, columns, aisle bows, or ceremony arch. It will help to achieve a unique identity of its own.

Next come the convenience of the guests which is very important as the success of a wedding reception party depends on how well the guests see the whole celebration. Make sure that the guests don't have to travel long from one location to another. It is best advisable to have one location for both the reception as well as wedding ceremony.

Visit the location and find out where the guests are likely to be seated and whether they would be facing the sun while being seated. Find out whether the sun will affect the photographer's ability to take photographs. Also, it is in fashion to provide with large umbrellas by the side of the table that will shelter the guest from the sun.

One must be aware of the spoilsport weather may play. You should have a back up plan, to guard from unexpected rains. An ideal outdoor location is the one which has an indoor location waiting just in case. Tents are general option for sheltering from any light or moderate rain falls, heavy rains will definitely soak the ground and leave the guests soggy with muddy shoes. The tent should be sturdy so that it doesn't flip over, and should be thick and weighted sides.

Winds are another factor that needs to be aware of. Light fabrics like chiffons and china silks in the dress should be avoided. Make sure that if the place are public parks, the grass are mown, the ground raked, and the flowers bloomed. Guests should not be left parched, as alcohols are dehydrating; it is advisable that there are plenty of lemonades, teas and punches. There must be plenty of ice and water all around. Cocktails are favourite among guests especially when it is served as in the classic mint julep or a mojito.

Insects and pests are indeed bothersome, so, you must use a bug zapper or something to keep the place free from it. Foods have to be prepared by an experienced caterer that will suit the outside environmental conditions. It is not wise to prepare mayonnaise salads or dishes that are best served cold.

Be sure that you do the homework for having any necessary permits to organize an outdoor wedding. Any rules that may perhaps hamper during the ceremony must be researched for.
