Sindhi weddings are one of the major traditions practiced in the country. In India, Sindhi people are largely belonged to the important business community. The history of Sindhi culture goes way back to the period of Vedic era. Since then, the people of Sindhi culture follow Sanatan Hindu traditions and values. All the rituals and customs in the Sindhi marriage can be categorized into pre-wedding, wedding day and post-wedding day customs. There are so many rituals being performed before the big event such as kachchi misri, pakki misri, berena satsang, mehendi, santh custom, sangeet party, saagri tradition, ghari puja and baraat. These pre-wedding rituals are followed by wedding day customs i.e. thread ceremony, swagatam custom, hathialo tradition, wedding and kanyadaan. By performing these rituals, the groom and the bride officially becomes a newly wed couple.
